Garma Festival of Traditional Cultures

Apply to Volunteer

Volunteering at Garma is no small project. Our volunteers make a significant contribution to the build, operation and spirit of the Festival. You will work along side our highly skilled and motivated site crew, bringing the grounds of Gulkula to life. You must have a willingness to work hard, be a team player and 'go that extra mile' when necessary. Garma is a festival like no other - it is a unique experience that will live with you forever.

For two weeks you will camp out, share meals with new friends, make new connections, build a festival and accomplish something truly life changing for the Yolngu people of north-east Arnhem Land and for yourself.

You are the change you want to see in Australia. A fair and equal Australia is achievable and Garma is a spearhead to effect that change.

You will have opportunities during the festival to participate in program activities, we have structured your volunteering days to ensure that you have ample time to experience the event.
